Holder (shoulder) made the first appearance of his rehab assignment Friday with the Cubs’ rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate, allowing one hit and striking out a batter in a scoreless inning. The appearance was Holder’s first of the season in affiliated ball after he was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain in spring training that has kept him on the 60-day injured list ever since.
