STARKVILLE – Mississippi State built itself some early momentum but ultimately dropped a 7-3 decision to South Carolina on Friday night at Dudy Noble Field. The Diamond Dawg offense put together a three-run first inning to grab a 3-1 lead before the Gamecocks tied things with a two-run homer in the fourth. South Carolina then added a pair of runs in both the sixth and ninth to turn away MSU. Tap below to read the release from Mississippi State Athletics.
