STARKVILLE – No. 18 Mississippi State dropped a tight 6-5 decision to 21st-ranked Troy on Tuesday night. The Trojans hit a solo homer in the top of the ninth to take the lead. The Diamond Dawgs were able to advance a runner into scoring position in the bottom half but were unable to answer and fell to 6-2 on the year.
