In the 2021 national championship run for the Bulldogs, Johnson had some key performances on the mound in the College World Series. Johnson pitched five innings and only gave up one run on two hits with seven strikeouts to get the win as MSU defeated Vandebilt 13-2 to reach the third game in the title series against the Commodores.
