Saw this morning that former Diamond Dawg Ryan Duffy left us. Here is a note posted by his mother. Rest easy Duff.

My son Ryan was taken to the ER last Thursday, 12/14/23. The doctors thought at first he had a very serious infection. He was unresponsive and comatose with extremely high fever. He never regained consciousness. After further tests over 5 days in the ICU, doctors confirmed our fears, that Ryan had permanent and unreversible brain damage
Extremely low blood pressure as a result of his spinal cord injury caused limited oxygen to the brain over time. He didn’t suffer. He has been his happiest living in his new home next door to Nick, Bri and his adorable nephew Jack.
We said our final goodbye to Ryan on Monday, 12/18/23. He was surrounded by his family and caregivers. He is now free to run, play & fish without the restraints of his wheelchair.
Ryan over performed his entire life. His life expectancy was 5-10 years following his spinal cord injury. He made 13 1/2 years. We are all forever grateful to have those bonus years with him.
He was a friend to all and a wonderful son, brother, uncle, grandson and man.
Kevin & I want to thank all our friends, family and Caregivers for ALL your support and love over all the many years, as you have been on this journey with us. It gave us strength when we needed it most.
A memorial service will be planned after the holidays.
